We are holding a range of FREE virtual Bitesize sessions.

Bitesize sessions are 1-hour and consist of a 45-minute presentation on relevant primary care topics followed by a 15-minute Q&A session.

17/09/2025: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)

This session is available for General Practice Nurses and Allied Health Professionals (AHPs).

Session Includes:

  • The screening for CKD and how effective screening can improve patient outcomes.
  • The implications of receiving a CKD diagnosis.
  • How to talk to patients about CKD including free resources which are available.
  • An overview of the West Yorkshire guidelines for the management of CKD.

27/11/2025: Menopause

This session is available for General Practice Nurses & Allied Health Professionals.

Date: Thursday 27th November 2025

Time: 12.30pm – 1.30pm

The menopause is finally receiving extensive coverage, and discussions surrounding it are no longer considered taboo. After all, half of the population will experience it, while the other half is likely to be impacted by its effects on women in their lives, including work colleagues, family members, and friends.

Session Includes:

  • What the menopause is.
  • How its symptoms affect individuals both functionally and psychologically.
  • What support options are available.
  • Discussions on therapies HRT and other treatments.
  • Why women should no longer feel compelled to endure what can be a debilitating experience for a protracted period in their lives.
