Survey - General Practice Assistant (GPA) National Review
Shared on behalf of NHSE
NHS England are conducting a feedback-based review of the commissioned training and education for General Practice Assistants (GPAs) and would greatly appreciate your expertise and input.
We have two separate surveys to collate this information, and we are only asking you to please complete the one relevant to you and your role (you do not need to complete both surveys):
- If you are a GPA, administrator or receptionist working in primary care (whether you have completed GPA specific training or not) – please complete this survey.
- If you are an employer, part of a Training Hub, ICB Lead, or work in primary care in any other capacity alongside GPAs – please complete this survey.
The deadline for completion is 17:00 on Friday 8 August 2025.
Completing the survey will take around 10-15 minutes, and the results will help shape the future of training and education for GPAs. The survey is anonymous, and we welcome your honest feedback.
The aim of the review is to better understand how the training and education has impacted GPAs performance in their role and the primary care setting, experience of accessing the training and education, and opinions on the future of training and education for GPAs.
Please forward this email to any colleagues that would be able to support this review. Again, thank you for supporting this review and we look forward to receiving your feedback.
